Access to national network promoting social good in Britain added to PMWL
10 February 2018 – London, UK – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to solving global problems. The resource is called “Social Value UK” and is a citizens’ group focused on advancing more social value creation for British society.
Social Value UK is a national network in Great Britain for anyone interested in social value and social impact. They work with members to increase the accounting, measuring and maximising of social value from the perspective of those affected by an organisation’s activities, through their Social Value Principles. They believe in a world where a broader definition of value will change decision making and ultimately decrease inequality and environmental degradation.
Social Value UK provides training and assurance services, as well as hosting regular meetings and events, creating new tools and resources, and running campaigns. Through supporting and working with members, and as a National Member Network of Social Value International, they are creating an international movement for change. This is a good resource for projects and project managers interested in increasing the social value of their project outcomes.
