The one here presented is composed by a list of very short reports – one page each – containing all the most important and essential information about the involvement in GVACs of a specific country. Each profile shows statistical figures, such as the participation in global value chains of an economy, the contribution of services, intermediate goods and services to the value-added content of exports.

The reader can also find data on trade facilitation and foreign direct investment. The better understanding of GVCs is crucial for projects in every kind of sector characterized by operations split around the world, and it allows the identification of the real origin of products and services and where their value is added.

To access this new resource, go to https://pmworldlibrary.net/other-information-affecting-ppm/, click “Economic Data and Information”, scroll down to “Trade in value-added and global value chains: statistical profile”. Free but must be a registered member to access.
