Access to new resource related to solving global environmental and social problems added to PM World Library
20 October 2020 – Dallas, TX, USA and Paris, France – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to solving global environmental problems. The new resource is titled “UNESCO Green Citizens Grassroots Projects“ and is an initiative sponsored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
Over decades of scientific research (biodiversity, oceans, hydrology) and education for sustainable development, but also on UNESCO sites around the world (biosphere reserves, geoparks, natural heritage sites), UNESCO has seen the number of local citizen projects multiplying and becoming increasingly meaningful.
With UNESCO Green Citizens, by bringing to light selected initiatives yearly, the Organisation’s teams want to recognize, and thus support, local, innovative, duplicable citizen projects with an informed impact on their communities, to help them and inspire the dissemination of these new ideas elsewhere.
To access this resource, go to the Solving Global Problems section of the PMWL at https://pmworldlibrary.net/solving-global-problems/. Under "Solving Global Environmental Problems", click on “Addressing Climate Change”. Free access, registration and login not required, but please consider registering.
