Öncü Hazır is an associate professor at Rennes School of Business in France where he teaches courses on project management, supply chain and logistics. He received his BS in Industrial Engineering and MBA from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. He completed his Ph.D. at the Department of Business Administration at Bilkent University in 2008. His dissertation was on project scheduling. He worked as a post-doctorate researcher in Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne and as an associate professor at TED University.
His research interests mainly cover project scheduling and control, earned value management, production planning, and operations management. He has participated in various research projects and gives seminars and lectures. He has authored or co-authored many research papers in operations research and management journals, and at approximately 25 international conferences, and authored or co-authored chapters in three books. He co-authored the recently published textbook, “An Introduction to Project Modeling and Planning" (Springer 2021). He co-authored the book “Project Management: Analytical Approaches” (in Turkish) published by PMI Turkey in 2014.
Professor Hazir joined the PM World academic advisory team in April 2023.
