Please note that beginning with the July edition will be offering peer reviews for research papers prior to publication. The PMWJ is to become a true hybrid journal for project management, publishing both peer reviewed academic research papers as well as papers, articles and other works by and for project management practitioners. While the focus of all works published in the PMWJ will continue to be information of practical value to PM practitioners and organizations, we will introduce a new Editorial Review Panel, submission requirements and streamlined review process. Authors of research-based, fully referenced papers will be offered the option of peer review or editor-only approval; featured papers will then be published in two categories: Peer Reviewed Research Papers and Other Featured Papers. We want to offer a new bridge between academic research and practice. So, look for an announcement soon.
Also, all works submitted for publication in the PMWJ must now be in our standard format, and will be subjected to plagiarism and AI checks. These are standard practices for most journals today. We still hope to maintain a quick turnaround schedule, although peer reviews are expected to take two weeks. So works received earlier in the month are more likely to be published sooner. If you have any questions please let me know at any time.
