As the world becomes more urbanized, projects and project management in cities affect more and more lives. Programs and projects in cities can include facilities, IT, roads, services, water/wastewater systems and other public works. Public Program/Project Management (P/PM) information available from Canadian cities is provided here for three primary reasons: (1) to provide access to resources for those who are developing or implementing P/PM processes in other cities, for benchmarking, experience or guidance; (2) to provide citizens and professionals alike with information about how programs and projects in their cities are being managed; and (3) to highlight cities in which modern professional P/PM is strong, weak or still needed (or not made public).
