Timothy J. Kloppenborg, PhD, PMP, ACP, DASSM is a Professor Emeritus at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, where he taught Business and Project Management for more than 20 years. He previously served on the faculties of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. His 13th book Be Agile Do Agile and his 14th book Contemporary Project Management 5th Ed. have been recently released. His previous books include Project Management Essentials, Second Edition, with Kathryn N. Wells (2018), Project Management for Archaeology, with Rodrigo Vilanova and Kathryn N. Wells (2017), Achieving Success in Nonprofit Organizations, with Laurence J. Lanning (2014), Strategic Leadership of Portfolio and Project Management (2012), Project Leadership, with Arthur Shriberg and Jayashree Venkatraman (2003), Managing Project Quality, with Joseph A. Petrick (2002), among others.
Tim holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of Cincinnati. He has trained, taught, and consulted on six continents. Dr. Kloppenborg is a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve Major. He edited 70 project management books with Business Expert Press, where he served for ten years as series editor for their project management books. Tim currently serves part-time as Liaison for Archdiocese of Cincinnati assisting in combining parishes and Scrum Master for Heritage Arboretum in Cincinnati, leading staff and volunteers during development of a new arboretum.
