Dr. Virginie Nahas

Dr. Virginie Nahas is a French researcher, having obtained her PhD in economics from the University of Poitiers and a master’s degree in international trading & management from the University of La Rochelle.
She has been affiliated with several academic bodies in France such as Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University (specializing in law and economics in Paris and often described as the top law school in France) as a lecturer and a researcher. She was also a lecturer at several highly ranked business schools in France such as IESEG and Rennes School of Business.
Recently, Dr. Nahas joined the American University of the Middle- East (AUM) as an assistant professor of Finance where she is pursuing her passion for teaching and research. AUM is a leading higher education institution in Kuwait, described as an “Oasis of Learning”. It is ranked among the Top 1,000 universities in the World according to QS World University Rankings.
Her research interests focus on three main pillars: the financing of SMEs in developing countries, sustainable/green finance and entrepreneurship. In this context, her research examines a key element and a very important aspect of PM which is project financial management, including the processes to acquire and manage the financial resources for projects, particularly in developing economies.
