Taskforce Report on Forest Resource Management and Logging Activities in Kenya (2018). A report by the Environment and Forestry, Republic of Kenya, April. There is an alarming depletion of forest cover in the country. The global minimum requirement of a country’s forest cover is 10% while Kenya’s is estimated at 7.4%, therefore, a taskforce was formed to look into the issue. Though it is evident that such environmental issues might affect the country’s economy in the long run, it should be understood that it will end up making a global impact as well.
