12 July 2019 – Mumbai, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to Agile Project Management. The new resource is titled “Agile Alliance”, a non-profit community working to disseminate information about Agile.
Agile Alliance was started by a group of 17 people in 2001 who first gathered to craft the Manifesto for Agile Software Development. It focuses on exploring and applying agile values, principles and practices of software development. It has created a code of conduct to ensure a respectful, safe and inclusive environment for everyone who is engaged in the organization activities.
Agile Alliance accomplishes its objectives through various initiatives (workshops & research projects) that address specific areas of interest and are proposed, implemented and administered by its own members. Its main activity is to bring Agile community together to share ideas and experiences by conducting a set of conferences worldwide. It also provides memberships to the corporates and individuals thereby giving access to the resources created by the community members.
The website contains a large number of resources (reports, articles and educational materials), past and upcoming events, list of corporate members and latest news in the community. Corporate members helps with the funding and resources necessary for the Alliance to meet its commitments. The Alliance encourages the participation of corporate employees and associates to broaden the experience and expertise of the software development community.
