Resource provided by Milan Choudhury
9 November 2020 – Nagpur, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to project crisis management. The new resource is titled “Micromanagement: A Project Management Tool in Crisis”, a paper by Amandip Singh Sidhu published in the International Journal of Economics and Management Sciences in 2012.
The resource advocates micromanagement as a tool of last resort in the project manager’s aresenal. It begins by describing micromanagement as a practice within the context of project management. It then talks about identifying the project manager’s need to micromanage including factors such as slipping deliverables, stakeholder angst, apathetic team attitude, etc. Finally, a case study is discussed that elucidates these principles.
