3 December 2017 – Mumbai, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of the Project Management Profession. The new resource is titled “PMI Mumbai Chapter''.

Mumbai Chapter of PMI was initiated in 1998 with a function to advance PMI objectives.

PMI represents members worldwide who are actively advancing the Project Management profession. The Mumbai Chapter of PMI provides brilliant opportunities for the community to participate in seminars, open forums and other educational programs. It plays an important role in developing an understanding of local differences to the standard PMI approaches and of their benefits and drawbacks.

Specific Interest Groups (SIGs) are actively promoted by PMI; Mumbai Chapter actively encourages and helps project people to participate in these SIGs. This gives an opportunity for members to share experiences with others who are managing similar types of projects in specific businesses, such as information technology, construction, pharmaceuticals, etc., to discuss common project challenges. The Mumbai Chapter also publishes and distributes quarterly journals/ newsletters, sponsors monthly meetings and conducts workshops which boost networks and learning.
