23 February 2018 – Mumbai, India – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library on the subject of project management in rail transport industries. The new resource is titled “Project Management Plan for Rocky Mountain Rail Authority High-Speed Rail Feasibility Study'', published on the website of the Rocky Mountain Rail Authority(AMRA). It was created in 2008.

The project management plan is the approach to be used by the project team to deliver the intended project management scope of the project. Basically, it answers the basic questions like Why? What? Who? & When?

In this paper, it provided the guidelines to complete the Rocky Mountain Rail Authority High-Speed Rail Feasibility study. It provided the outline of the scope, budget, roles & responsibilities, budget and other related things involved in this project. This study aims to assess the high-speed passenger rail options based upon the certain criteria in terms of Federal Railroad Association, Public Private Partnerships(PPP’s) and the high-speed rail feasibility options. This study also includes levels of passenger ridership, location of stops, train speeds and schedules, potential alignments, implementation plans, and the financial and economic benefits of building such a project.

This papers also include the Work Break Down Structure(WBS), Major Milestones, Work Schedule, Project Organization: Roles and Responsibilities, Communication Plan, Quality Control Procedures, Billing Procedures and Resources Allocation, Project Budget and Cash Flow.
