22 April 2018 – Southampton, UK – Access to a new resource has been added to the PM World Library (PMWL) related to both project stakeholder management and risk management. The new resource is titled “Stakeholders and Uncertainty Management in Projects”, a paper by Chris Chapman and Stephen Ward and published in June 2008 by Construction Management and Economics.

The authors claim that stakeholders of projects comprise a huge part of uncertainties in comparison with the other sources of uncertainties. Requirements of stakeholders are generally dynamic and changeable thus causing uncertainties in projects. The authors develop a framework namely SHAMPU (Shape, Harness and Manage Project Uncertainty) which provides proper analysis for stakeholders and uncertainty management

To access this new resource, go to the PM Applications and Hot Topics section of the library at  https://pmworldlibrary.net/applications-and-topics/ , click on either “Risk Management” or “Stakeholder Management”, scroll down to papers. Must be a registered trial, professional or scholar member and logged-in to access.
