6 October 2017 – Almaty, Kazakhstan – A new resource has been added to the PM World Library related to Cultural Intelligence and Project management. The new resource is titled “The Impact of Project Organizational Culture on the Performance of Construction Projects”, a paper published in the open access journal Sustainability authored by Luong Hai Nguyen and Tsunemi Watanabe.

Following empirical studies of several investigators on the impact of culture on project management in the construction industry, a new study was conducted in order to identify whether the project organizational culture has influence on the performance of construction projects in Vietnam. The results of the analysis showed that the contractor’s commitment to contract agreements is the key cultural factor affecting project success. Other factors such as goal alignment and reliance, contractor commitment, and commitment to workers contribute to improved overall performance and participant satisfaction.
